Beyond the Path.

Peak Adventures specialises in wilderness expeditions and technical mountain guiding. We don’t just lead journeys; we build the confidence and competence for you to call the wild home.

Wilderness Independence

Our approach is shaped by the terrain, the weather, and the people taking part. We believe the best adventures happen when you move beyond fixed scripts and crowded trails.

Whether you are navigating the remote Knoydart wilderness or scrambling a classic ridge in Glencoe, you are actively building the skills to become a self-sufficient mountain traveller.

Looking for a multi-day journey? See our guided wilderness expeditions in Scotland for fully guided 3–5 day routes including Rum, Knoydart and Fisherfield.

The Expedition Ethos

We treat wild camping as a craft. We emphasise Leave No Trace principles and respectful mountain travel, ensuring these wild places remain pristine for the next generation.

Investing in the Future

Professionalism in the mountains is never static. To ensure we remain current with best practice, our team maintains a rigorous programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) through industry workshops and training days.

As part of that commitment, we sometimes host Trainee Instructors on trips. This provides aspiring professionals with vital experience under supervision, while offering clients an extra set of hands and a higher level of support on the hill.

Professional Standards

Peak Adventures Ltd is a Mountain Training Approved Provider. Our safety systems and courses are professionally audited and nationally recognised.

  • Qualified leaders: Our staff hold a raft of certifications including MCI, WML, and RCI.
  • Medical training: Every leader holds a current 16-hour Wilderness First Aid certificate.
  • Corporate insurance: Fully covered by Public, Employer’s Liability, and Professional Indemnity insurance.

Note on terminology: We use the title ‘Guide’ to describe our role in leading you. Professionally, our team consists of qualified Mountaineering & Climbing Instructors (MCI) and Mountain Leaders (ML).

While we do not hold the BMG ‘International Mountain Guide’ carnet, we are members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI)—the highest level of qualification for technical UK mountain terrain.
