Guided ridge days, done properly
These are not rushed “tick-list” days. We focus on safe, confident movement: line choice, footwork, balance, and clear decision-making on rocky ground. Where a route offers options (easier bypasses or direct steps), we choose what best fits the group and the conditions.
Who it suits
Ideal if you’re a regular hill walker and want professional support stepping onto more exposed terrain. You don’t need climbing experience—just a steady head and decent fitness.
What you’ll learn
Efficient movement on rock, three points of contact, safe body positions, and how to stay composed when the ground steepens. It’s practical coaching, not theory.
Conditions-led delivery
Wind, rain and visibility change the character of ridges quickly. We adapt: alternative lines, sheltered options, or a different objective that still feels like a proper mountain day.

Helvellyn & Blencathra
Two iconic ridge days—often built around Striding Edge and Sharp Edge. A superb progression if you want a structured step-up in exposure.
Langdale Classics
Classic lines in the Langdale Pikes area, including airy scrambling options such as Jack’s Rake when conditions and the group are a good fit.
Crinkle Crags
A Lake District classic with a rugged feel underfoot—excellent for building confidence on rocky terrain, with plenty of coaching opportunities along the way.
