Learn the skills to move confidently in the mountains

This two-day course is designed for walkers who want stronger navigation skills and better judgement in the mountains. It is a practical course focused on real terrain rather than classroom theory.

Based in Keswick, we can quickly access a wide range of Lakeland hills. The exact training ground changes depending on weather and group ability, allowing us to choose terrain that supports the day’s learning.

Over two full days you will develop map reading, compass use, route planning and mountain safety skills that can immediately be applied to your own hill days.
