The 2-Day Adventure
Blencathra & The Back of Beyond
Meeting at Mungrisdale, we begin with the iconic ascent of Blencathra. We then strike north, diving into the “Back of Beyond” and descending into the remote Caldew valley to pitch camp beside the winding river. You’ll master site selection in a truly isolated mountain environment.
Silent Ridges & Return
Wake up in the quietest valley in the fells. After a mountain breakfast, we head toward Skiddaw House—the loneliest house in England—before traversing the high, grassy ridges back to the trailhead for a mid-afternoon finish.
